about

Let Orpheus charm you with his music. This is Tom Doncourt's magnum opus. You can hear it in it's early incantations on the album "The Mortal Coil". If you listen the "Lantern" version, you can hear the unbearable sadness of the great musician as he prepares to leave our world. Here are his thoughts on music and constellations: I don't trace patterns in the sky, following one star to the other. I take it all in at once - the bright, the dim, the every which way angle dance. In the sky can be seen all history, all billions of years of lights arriving at once to my receptors. It is okay to make out a symbol here and there, to jog the memory, to make a land mark, but you have to take it all in at once and to do that, you have to let everything go.
